Alex was trained professionally on performing piano and organ. As a fine pianist, he has rich experience in solo and collaborative piano, and has appeared with soloists, chamber ensembles, choirs, Symphony Orchestras, and Opera Theatres.

Dr. Bi has participated in Master Players Festival & School in 2016 and 2017 as a solo and collaborative pianist. He refined his piano skills under the guidance of many leading pianists, including Dr. Charles Abramovic, Prof. Zhihua Tang, Prof. Xiaoxue Sun, and Howard Watkins. His organ skills was polished by Dr. David Schelat.
